“AC: Project Legacy” to Mix Assassin’s Creed with Mafia Wars

In what is to be the first of Ubisoft’s “companion games”, the company is to release Assassin’s Creed: Project Legacy tomorrow (October 1st) on Facebook. The game is to be a browser based strategy title similar to games like Mafia Wars and will unlock extra content and “bonus XP” for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

Ninja Theory Still Finding PS3 Difficult

Ninja Theory made a name for itself by producing one of the greatest launch title for the PS3, Heavenly Sword. The game was a technical marvel that showed that even a new studio could quickly master PS3 development, which at the time was noted to be far more difficult than Xbox 360 development. Resistance 3 Screenshots Released

Insomniac’s internal expansion and time off from their annual game release schedule has allowed the Burbank based studio to focus on improving the quality of their major franchises, Ratchet and Resistance. While Resistance 2 had one of the strongest feature sets of any FPS on the market, it was also blatantly rushed to retail shelves and lacked the polish that the studio is so famous for. But if the new screenshots from Resistance 3 are any indication, Insomniac is ready to blow fans away with the game’s gorgeous graphics and refined art style.

3DS Gets a Release Date

Rumors around the release date of Nintendo’s 3DS can now be laid to rest as the highly anticipated handheld finally got an official date. In line with some early speculation, the 3DS will indeed be arriving sometime in the fiscal quarter ending in March 2011.
