Map Packs Are Too Expensive

August 2, 2010 in Editorial

It seems that price is no obstacle for fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as the sales for the downloadable map packs have reached 20 million as of late. August 2, 2010 in Review

The Resurgence Pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is priced at $15 (1200 Microsoft Points), and contains three new multiplayer levels and two classic multiplayer levels from the first Modern Warfare title. The Xbox 360 version was released first, but the PS3 version is also available. The inclusion of older maps was a great way for Infinity Ward and Activision to artificially raise the price of this DLC pack, but unfortunately the final product falls short of expectations.
